St. Louis County will hold its next Board of Police Commissioners meeting on February 17 at 9:00 a.m. in the Arthur B. Shepley, Jr. Board Room. The agenda includes promotions and program approvals. Accessibility accommodations are available, and requests can be directed to Amy Abkemeier of the St. Louis County Police Department.
Chief Gregory is expected to present Certificates of Promotion to Sergeant David Mauzy, James Price, and Kayla Hicks during the meeting. The Chief’s report will also include updates on the department’s budget, crime statistics, and other operational data, along with reviews of the strategic plan and divisions such as Human Resources and the Emergency Communications Network.
The meeting agenda includes approval of the minutes from the January 20 session, followed by discussions of incoming and outgoing correspondence. Old business items will be addressed, along with several new business topics, including contracts for professional training programs. These programs cover areas such as "Technical Spanish" and "Leadership Skills for Police Administrators," with some contracts costing up to $9,900, according to St. Louis County Police.
Among the proposed contracts, Training Force USA, LLC, is recommended for approval to provide an "Advanced Artificial Intelligence" course in April for up to $4,250. Vista Law Enforcement Training and Consulting, LLC, is also listed for programs including "Advanced Technical Interviewing and Interrogation" and "Social Media, Geofence, Cyber-Related Investigative Techniques," scheduled for late March and early April, as per St. Louis County Police.
The meeting will include a public forum for community members to raise questions or concerns. A motion may be made to enter a closed session if discussions involve legal advice, claims, lawsuits, or personnel matters requiring confidentiality. After any closed session, a roll call will mark the return to open session before adjournment. Media inquiries can be directed to Vera Clay, Mary Schmitt, or Brian McClelland.
