Yesterday morning in Dorchester, a residential disturbance escalated into a police chase and subsequent arrest of three juveniles. The Boston Police Department reports that officers from District C-11 responded to a call at approximately 4:01 AM about a potential breaking and entering at 52 Bellevue Street.
The police were advised that two males were seen trying to force entry into a condo, with a female seemingly positioned as a lookout near the back door. Arriving at the scene, the officers were confronted with two male suspects inside the premises. Attempting to avoid capture, the suspects attempted to flee but were quickly apprehended on the first-floor landing by the officers running towards the rear.
During the sweep of the apartment, the officers noted evidence of forced entry, including significant damage to the rear door. As the investigation proceeded, seemingly abandoned personal items, such as sneakers and a jacket, were found inside, suggesting a hasty attempt to dispose of identifying possessions by the intruders.
As the two male suspects were being escorted to the police vehicles, they were approached by an unshod and coatless female. After comparing the found items to the female, officers concluded her involvement in the break-in. All three, a 14-year-old male, another male age 15, and the 14-year-old female, were placed under arrest and now face charges including 'Breaking and Entering into a Building, Nighttime for Felony,' 'Malicious Destruction of Property over $1,200,' and 'Trespass.'
