On Tuesday, she opened Tigerbaby at High Street Place, a counter-service stall built around the punchy Southeast Asian flavors that once powered her beloved Tiger Mama. This time, the focus is on quick hits: fast-moving lines, carryout-ready boxes and bright, herb-packed dishes built for the lunch rush and post-work crowd.
As Boston.com reports, Tigerbaby is very intentionally a counter-service riff on Tiger Mama. In a press release quoted by the outlet, Faison said the concept "has lived in my brain and heart" and that she is "beyond excited to share it."
What to order
The menu at Tigerbaby pulls from Thai, Vietnamese and broader East Asian influences, with a lineup built for big flavors and fast service. Headliners include Tangerine Chicken, Thai Basil Chicken, Black Pepper Beef & Broccoli and Popcorn Dumplings. On the drinks side, the stall is pouring Vietnamese cold coffee, Tiger Thai tea, Lucky Buddha beer and transfusion-style cocktails, according to High Street Place.

Tigerbaby is the latest piece in Faison's growing mini-empire inside High Street Place. It is the fifth concept there from her Big Heart Hospitality group, joining Bubble Bath, Dive Bar and Tenderoni's among the food hall's offerings, Boston.com notes. The move reinforces how the downtown hall leans on chef-driven counters to lure back office workers and curious tourists.
A nod to Tiger Mama
Tigerbaby tips its hat directly to Tiger Mama, Faison's sit-down Southeast Asian restaurant that opened in the Fenway in 2015 and closed in 2021, as reported by Eater Boston. While the new concept trims the service model for speed, touches like the Singapore street noodles, billed as a "Tiger Classic" on the menu, create a direct line back to Faison's earlier work.

According to High Street Place, Tigerbaby is open Monday through Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Thursday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and is closed on Sunday. The stall sits inside High Street Place at 100 High Street in downtown Boston, with a counter-service setup tailored to quick lunch runs and easy takeout for Financial District office workers.
