Hangry Brands, the hospitality group behind several hits in Cleveland's dining scene, has announced an unusual addition to its family: a Tiki-themed speakeasy called Edison’s Hidden Tiki. This unexpected find, located on a previously unused second floor of Edison’s Pub in the Tremont neighborhood, was dubbed "a happy surprise" by Hangry Brands’ partner and VP Julia Licastro, as reported by WKYC.

The details of the new venue were described, with its intimate eight-seat bar and additional limited table seating being at the core of its charm. Guests will gain entry through a discreet stairwell leading from a secret wooden door, as Cleveland.com outlines. Operation will be primarily reservation-based, but some barstools will be available for walk-ins on a first-come, first-served basis.

According to the press materials, Edison’s Hidden Tiki aims to enhance the existing offerings of Tremont's Professor Avenue. "Hidden Tiki and Tiki in general will be a fantastic addition to the walkable options up and down Tremont's Professor Avenue," Licastro told WKYC. The cocktail menu promises a "small but mighty" selection, with Licastro emphasizing that the experience will be fun, interactive, and ideal for social media moments, echoing her statement obtained by Cleveland.com.

The venture continues Hangry Brands’ tradition of creating immersive, interactive environments at their locations, from STEAK to Geraci’s Slice Shop. In line with this vision, "Edison’s is a landmark," Jason Beudert, founder of Hangry, shared with Cleveland Scene. "It’s been there 40 years, and we’re not messing with it. We’re just honored to continue the tradition." He said before the purchase, they were unaware of the potential for such an expansion.

As the space is being fashioned, patrons can expect Tiki-style cocktails, alongside offerings like slices from Lil Ronnie’s and sushi from the STEAK down the block. It is set to open at 4 p.m. daily and stay open late into the night with a launch expected in late 2026.
