Two people have been arrested in connection with an incident in which a 14-year-old was allegedly taken to a Jacksonville strip club and given alcohol. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said the arrests followed a seven-month investigation sparked by a viral video showing the teenager inside Passions Gentlemen's Club.
Ricky Clark, 36, was arrested on Jan. 24 on a misdemeanor charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, according to News4Jax. Aylin Poorhamzeh, 23, surrendered on Feb. 2 and faces charges of child abuse and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Investigators say Poorhamzeh gave the teen multiple alcoholic drinks during the club visit, which left the 14-year-old heavily intoxicated.
The teenager reportedly became severely intoxicated, with witnesses noting he was intermittently losing consciousness after leaving the club, as per First Coast News. While Clark and Poorhamzeh face legal charges, the club itself is also under investigation, as Passions’ attorney initially denied any knowledge that a minor had been inside.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office emphasized the seriousness of the case, noting that crimes against children and teenagers are treated with the utmost gravity. First Coast News contacted Passions Gentlemen's Club about the ongoing investigation but has not received a response. The sheriff’s office continues its investigation as the community awaits to see whether the establishment will also face accountability.
