A crash at the intersection of State Highway 9 and 84th Avenue SE on Wednesday around 5:18 p.m. left two people dead. The collision involved a sedan traveling south on 84th Avenue SE and an SUV traveling west on State Highway 9. Both passengers in the sedan, an adult male and an adult female, died at the scene, the City of Norman reported.
The SUV’s driver, an adult male, was not injured and declined medical attention. The Norman Police Department’s Collision Investigation and Reconstruction Team is continuing to examine the circumstances of the crash.
The identities of the deceased have not been released pending notification of next of kin. The Norman Police Department asks anyone with information about the incident to come forward to assist in the investigation.
