A national drive-thru coffee chain is gearing up to park a compact, car-focused stand on Mesa Street near UTEP. Plans call for transforming the vacant lot at 1901 Mesa St. into a drive-thru-only coffee kiosk tailored to students, hospital staff, and early morning commuters who want caffeine without the wait.
According to the El Paso Times, the 7Brew project is set to feature a 536-square-foot prefabricated building, along with related paving, utility connections, and new landscaping at the site, at an estimated cost of $750,000. The city permit listing cited in the report names Erin Dudley of CEI Engineers in Bentonville, Arkansas, as the project applicant and Hague Avenue Ltd. as the property owner. As of that reporting, no contractor had been listed on the permit record.
What 7Brew Is And Why It Fits Here
7Brew began in Rogers, Arkansas, and has grown into a fast-expanding drive-thru concept that focuses on quick service, heavy drink customization, and double-lane pickup setups, per 7Brew. The car-first approach is designed for busy corridors and campus edges where customers are more interested in grabbing a drink on the run than settling in at a table.
Where It Will Sit And Neighborhood Impact
The planned stand at 1901 Mesa St. will sit in the middle of an already busy food and services cluster, near a Burger King, a Raising Cane's, and several local clinics, and close to the Providence hospital complex, a combination that could help keep the drive-thru humming throughout the day, according to the El Paso Times. The project will occupy a currently vacant lot and include new pavement and landscaping as part of the build. With a drive-thru-only format, the footprint stays modest while the layout is focused entirely on vehicle flow and pickup lanes.
Timeline And What Comes Next
Permits appear to be in the pipeline, but the schedule from here depends on inspections and when a contractor signs on, so no opening date has been announced yet. For now, the project sits in the paperwork stage, and we will be watching local permit filings and any company updates for a clearer timeline as construction moves ahead.
