What was supposed to be a simple watch sale on the Northwest Freeway turned into an armed-robbery investigation early Friday, bringing a heavy law-enforcement presence and a partial shutdown of the roadway near Cypress Mill Place Boulevard.

Deputies said an unnamed caller reported being robbed at gunpoint while trying to sell a watch in the 26900 block of the Northwest Freeway, near the Cypress Mill area.

According to Mark Herman, Harris County Constable Precinct 4, deputies said the suspects took off in a black Mazda. The constable's post described the suspects as two Black males and one white male and said there were no reported injuries. Drivers and residents were urged to steer clear of the area while the investigation unfolded.

Suspects, Vehicle and the Response

Deputies were reported canvassing nearby neighborhoods and reviewing surveillance and dash-cam video as they searched for the vehicle. Officials did not release any additional identifying details or announce arrests in the initial update, and anyone with information or footage was asked to contact law enforcement.

Precinct 4 has used similar live-search alerts in past cases, including a nearby armed-robbery response that also drew a significant response from deputies.

What Officials Are Asking

The constable's office asked anyone who witnessed the incident or who has video of the area to reach out to the precinct through its social media channels or tip line, according to the Facebook update posted by Mark Herman, Harris County Constable Precinct 4. Deputies said they remained on scene to coordinate the search and secure the area, and residents with immediate concerns were told to call 911.

The Facebook post is also being used to push real-time updates to nearby residents while deputies continue their work on the case.

Safety Tips for Online Sales

Law-enforcement experts recommend meeting buyers in public, well-lit places, and when possible at police stations or designated safe-exchange zones. Sellers are advised to bring a friend, verify identities and avoid handing over high-value items until payment is confirmed.

If you were involved in Friday's incident or have information, contact Harris County Precinct 4. Deputies asked people to stay away from the area until the scene is fully cleared.
