The City of Wentzville, Missouri, has added a creative touch to its snowplow fleet. Through its first-ever "Name-That-Plow" contest, four snowplows have been officially named, according to a social media post from the City of Wentzville. The contest received nearly 500 submissions from residents and city employees.
The initiative highlighted the Public Works team’s efforts to maintain road safety during winter. Four snowplows were given creative names through the contest: CTRL+SALT+DELETE, submitted by Abigail Kelble; Scoop Dogg, by Shara Grabenhorst; Snowbi Wan Kenobi, by Chris Sipe; and #TagTheMayor, by Christina Schaefer. These names have already drawn attention from local residents as the plows continue clearing the streets.
Residents can expect to see the newly named snowplows in action throughout the winter. The city also plans to hold another contest this fall to name four additional snowplows.
