The space-themed indoor family coaster lets guests personalize their own LEGO spacecraft before heading out on a story-driven mission through an intergalactic LEGO galaxy. Park officials say the attraction is meant to give families a thrillier, more immersive option when they visit the resort.
According to LEGOLAND Florida Resort, Galacticoaster launches from Spaceport 885 and starts guests in an interactive briefing room, followed by a customization bay and an all-weather indoor experience. Riders can build their crafts across four sections: nose, tail, wings and special features, for more than 625 possible spacecraft combinations. Annual passholders have also been promised priority launch access ahead of the public opening.
Tampa Bay 28 has already labeled the coaster "Legoland Florida's most intense roller coaster ever" and reports the bicoastal project is part of roughly a $90 million investment in attractions for Florida and California. The outlet describes Galacticoaster as an indoor dark "space launch" ride that "spins, swoops and glides" and notes the park has set a 36-inch minimum height requirement with an adult and a 48-inch minimum to ride alone.
