
A 28-year-old woman was fatally shot while sitting in her car at a Starbucks drive-thru on the 2300 block of S. Grand Ave, the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department reported. The shooting occurred shortly after 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, and District 3 officers responding to the scene found the victim unresponsive with a gunshot wound.
Emergency Medical Services responded promptly and transported the woman to the hospital, where she later died from her injuries. The SLMPD Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation, and authorities are reviewing nearby surveillance footage that shows the suspect fleeing the scene on foot, according to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department.
The suspect, described as a Black male, was seen wearing white shoes, dark pants, a yellow-green reflective safety vest, and a white hard hat. Police have warned that he should be considered armed and dangerous and advised the public not to approach him. Anyone with information is urged to contact authorities.
