Atlanta rap royalty is clocking in for 404 Day. OutKast co-founder Big Boi is set to headline a free 404 Day block party dubbed "Taste the Block" in downtown Atlanta on April 4, pairing his set with a Smorgasburg-style spread of food vendors, merch and family programming. Organizers say an Impossible Foods truck will be on-site pouring out an exclusive "Big Boi Burger" for the occasion.
What Organizers Are Promising
The official event page on Partiful bills Taste the Block as an all-day takeover, running from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and hosted by Impossible Foods at Smorgasburg. The listing touts more than 20 vendors, DJs, custom merch, barbershop trims, photo ops and a "high-energy spirit performance" locked in for a very on-brand 4:04 p.m.
FOX 5 Coverage
According to FOX 5 Atlanta, the one-day block party is free to attend, and guests can RSVP online ahead of time. FOX 5 also spotlights the exclusive Big Boi Burger and the market-style setup that ties the event into 404 Day celebrations happening across the city.
About 404 Day
404 Day is Atlanta's April 4 citywide celebration of local culture, covering music, food and community with events across several neighborhoods and a flagship festival in Piedmont Park. Per 404 Day, the programs are free and built to shine a light on local artists, businesses and food vendors.
Where To Go And What To Expect
Taste the Block is set for Smorgasburg Atlanta's downtown market. The Smorgasburg site lists the market at 140 Forsyth St. SW and maintains a weekly vendor roster. Attendees should be ready for crowds, limited seating and vendor lines, so organizers suggest RSVPing in advance and showing up early if you are aiming for the Big Boi Burger or the photo-op activations.
Transit or rideshare is worth considering, since the Smorgasburg lot and nearby street parking can fill up on busy weekend event days. Keep an eye on the Partiful event page and the 404 Day site for any last-minute changes to the lineup or schedule.
