An 11-year-old boy was caught in the middle of an ongoing feud Saturday afternoon when he was struck by gunfire at a northwest Atlanta apartment complex, according to police. Officers were called to the complex at 3029 Middleton Road N.W. around 12:15 p.m., and the child was taken to a hospital for treatment. Police said his condition was not immediately available.
According to Atlanta News First, investigators said the boy "was shot during a dispute among multiple adult females who have an ongoing history of conflict," and that a woman reportedly fired a gun into the air, with the round striking the child. As of that initial report, investigators were still on scene and had not released further details.
