Nearly four years after a deadly parking-lot shooting outside a West Little River corner store, Miami-Dade detectives say they have the alleged getaway driver in custody.

Skybruney Diondra Hall, 33, was arrested on March 17, 2026, and is accused of driving the car that whisked the suspected gunman away from the scene of a 2022 homicide outside a neighborhood food mart. According to jail records, she faces one count of accessory after the fact to a capital offense.

Investigators say Hall went to the Miami-Dade Police homicide bureau and provided a statement in which she admitted driving the vehicle away from the scene after the shooting.

How Police Say The Case Unfolded

According to detectives, the shooting took place on May 17, 2022, outside the U-Save Food Mart in West Little River. A ShotSpotter alert drew officers to the store’s parking lot, where they found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center and was later pronounced dead.

Surveillance footage from the area captured the confrontation and shows a white four-door Honda leaving the scene. Investigators later identified the alleged gunman as Davin Howell, who was arrested on May 31, 2022, and has remained in custody on murder-related charges, according to Local10.

Surveillance, Witness IDs And The Suspect's Statement

Police say witnesses picked Howell out as the shooter, and he later provided a recorded statement describing his role in the crime.

Hall’s own words are now a key part of the case file. Investigators say she told detectives that Howell jumped into her car right after the shooting, told her he had shot the victim and that he had "thrown his life away," and that she drove him from the scene and later dropped him off.

Detectives say Hall also admitted she never called 911 and did not reach out to investigators, even though she knew the victim had been killed. As of Wednesday morning, she was being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, according to records cited by Local10.

Charges, Custody And Potential Penalties

Hall is charged with accessory after the fact to a capital offense. Under Florida law, when the underlying crime is a capital felony, accessory after the fact is treated as a first degree felony and carries severe penalties if the person is convicted. The statute outlining that classification and its sentencing framework is Florida Statute 777.03, available through the Florida Senate.

Current custody details and booking information are listed in the Miami-Dade Corrections In-Custody Search maintained by Miami-Dade Corrections.

Police have not disclosed what sparked the argument that led up to the shooting. Detectives say the investigation remains active, and officials have not yet said whether they expect any additional charges.
