A Mason man is behind bars this week after detectives tied him to a Sept. 25, 2025 break-in at the Warren County home of an 88-year-old resident, according to authorities. Investigators say the case quickly widened, with multiple search warrants leading to the seizure of five firearms and other property linked to additional burglaries.
According to WKRC, officers were first called to a Zoar Road home in Hamilton Township for the Sept. 25 burglary. Detectives later secured several search warrants that led them to 43-year-old Joshua Snyder of Mason. Investigators told the station Snyder, a convicted felon, was found with five firearms, including two reported stolen, and that they recovered property connected to burglaries in both Warren and Clinton counties. Snyder is now facing multiple felony counts, including burglary, weapons violations and theft, police said.
What the charges can carry
Under Ohio law, burglary is a felony offense, and the degree of the charge can vary based on details such as whether the building was occupied or if someone was present at the time of the break-in. Being caught with firearms when you are legally barred from possessing them is a separate felony that carries its own penalties and can add consecutive prison time if there is a conviction.
