Rapper Desiigner has been arrested on suspicion of domestic violence in South Carolina, according to authorities. Police say the early March incident involved his partner and the couple’s child and left the woman with minor injuries, as described in law enforcement documents.
Police allege March 2 home incident
Investigators say the confrontation unfolded on March 2 at Sidney Royel Selby III’s home. According to a police report, Selby allegedly grabbed the couple’s child, put the child in a car seat, then threw the woman to the ground. The report also says he yanked keys from her and tore her sweatpants, leaving minor scratches on her lower back and arm.
Selby was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence and charged with third-degree domestic violence. Reporting says he was later released on bond, according to the New York Daily News.
Federal indecent-exposure case from 2023
The South Carolina case is separate from a 2023 federal indecent-exposure matter, when prosecutors said Selby exposed his genitals and masturbated on a flight from Tokyo to Minneapolis-St. Paul. Federal prosecutors charged him with one count of indecent exposure on an aircraft, according to a press release from the U.S. Attorney's Office, District of Minnesota.
That federal complaint, and any outcome tied to it, is distinct from the ongoing South Carolina investigation.

Selby is facing a third-degree domestic-violence charge. Under South Carolina law, that level of domestic violence is generally treated as a misdemeanor that can bring jail time and fines.
