Atlanta police converged on the city's Westside on Wednesday after a report of gunfire a few blocks from the Atlanta University Center sent officers into the neighborhood to investigate. Detectives were canvassing the area and sharing a few details, and it was not immediately clear whether anyone had been injured.
According to 11Alive, the call came in early Wednesday, bringing officers to the scene to speak with witnesses and collect evidence. Video from the outlet showed police moving through the block, appearing to search for shell casings and other possible clues.

The Westside response landed in the middle of a month already marked by gunfire elsewhere in the city. On March 3, a shooting at MARTA's Arts Center station briefly halted service and left one person injured, according to CBS Atlanta.
