
A shooting in Harrisburg on Friday left a man clinging to life and a suspect in handcuffs, turning a quiet corner of town into an active crime scene, authorities said.
Law enforcement reported that deputies and Harrisburg officers rushed to the scene and provided medical aid to a man suffering from a gunshot wound before he was airlifted to a regional hospital in critical condition.
According to FOX13 Memphis, deputies and Harrisburg police found the victim, rendered lifesaving aid, and coordinated his transport by air after the shooting.
Suspect Taken Into Custody
The Poinsett County Sheriff's Office said deputies took a suspect into custody just after 1 p.m., and investigators stayed on scene to piece together what led up to the gunfire. The agency has not released the suspect's name as detectives continue their work.
