
Jackson police say a domestic dispute on Hill Street turned deadly Wednesday night, leaving one adult dead inside a home and a juvenile in custody.
Officers were called to 6 Hill Street around 8:30 p.m. for a report of a shooting. When they went inside, they found an adult resident dead. Investigators quickly contained the scene and emphasized there was no broader danger to nearby residents.

In a post from the City of Jackson Police Department, officials said officers responded to the Hill Street address for a reported shooting and detained a juvenile resident at the scene. The department listed the location as 6 Hill Street and asked anyone with information to call the Jackson Police Department at 731-425-8400. Police said additional details will be released as the investigation moves forward.

According to the same post from the City of Jackson Police Department, officers are "not seeking any other individuals in connection with this incident" and believe "there is no ongoing threat to the public." City of Jackson and the Jackson Police Department extended their deepest sympathies to those affected.
