One lucky Fantasy 5 player in Jacksonville just turned a routine stop at a neighborhood store into a six-figure payday. A Florida Lottery ticket that matched all five numbers in Wednesday evening’s drawing is worth $120,814, according to lottery officials, and it was sold on the city’s Westside.
According to Action News Jax, the winning ticket was purchased at Ramona Food Store at 8019 Ramona Blvd. West. The Florida Lottery lists the Fantasy 5 Evening combination as 1-8-26-33-36 and shows the top prize for that draw at $120,814.
Per the Florida Lottery, Fantasy 5 is a pari-mutuel game, which means prize amounts can vary depending on ticket sales and the number of winners. Prizes of $600 or more must be claimed at a district office. Lottery officials advise winners to sign and validate the back of their ticket immediately, then contact the Jacksonville district office to arrange their claim.
Small retailers keep popping up as winners
The Westside shop is just the latest neighborhood spot to sell a big Fantasy 5 winner this month. Earlier in March, an approximately $125,212 Fantasy 5 top prize in Jacksonville was sold at another small outlet, a gas station that, as quietly cranks out lone $125K lottery jackpot, underscoring a recent streak of one-ticket hauls coming out of low-profile convenience stores.
