Lake Nona just landed another fast-casual player. Pei Wei Asian Kitchen has opened on Narcoossee Road, giving the neighborhood a new spot for wok-fired dishes, quick weeknight dinners, and takeout runs as the chain rolls out a broader refresh across the country.
In a Feb. 19 press release shared via PR Newswire, Pei Wei said the Lake Nona restaurant showcases its updated design direction, blending warm textures with contemporary lighting to create a lively, welcoming dining room. The company framed the opening as part of a push that pairs new flavors with expanded digital options as it modernizes locations nationwide.
What’s new on the menu
On the food side, Lake Nona guests are getting some of the chain’s latest experiments. The menu features Wagyu Spring Rolls as a new premium appetizer and a Spicy Korean BBQ Steak served with wok-tossed noodles, according to West Orlando News. Diners can also swap rice for wok-tossed noodles in any entrée, a move the brand is using to test saucier, wok-fired upgrades and higher-end flavors.
Ordering and the Lake Nona spot
Customers can order at the counter or through a revamped Pei Wei app, which the company says offers simpler navigation, streamlined ordering, and a tiered rewards program for repeat visits. The Lake Nona restaurant is located at 12701 Narcoossee Road, Ste 150, with a local phone number listed on the chain’s site. According to Pei Wei, the digital setup is designed to speed up pickup and make frequent orders feel a bit more rewarding.
Local context
The new opening fills a gap that had locals talking. A Pei Wei on East Colonial Drive closed suddenly in July 2025, and signage there directed guests toward other locations while rumors swirled about a Lake Nona move. Neighborhood outlets and residents kept tabs as the chain updated its listings and shifted some services to nearby spots. Bungalower reported on the overnight Colonial Drive closure and early hints of the new Lake Nona restaurant.
Pei Wei says it operates nearly 200 locations nationwide, and the Lake Nona outpost is one more example of the chain leaning into premium limited-time items and refreshed stores as it tries to stand out in the quick-service crowd, according to PR Newswire. For Lake Nona residents, the Narcoossee Road spot means a closer option for wood-fired takeout and casual dinners.
