A 19-year-old was shot and killed late Thursday inside Orchard Hall on the Lane College campus in Jackson, turning an ordinary weeknight in the dorm into an active crime scene, police say. Officers rushed to the residence hall around 11 p.m., found the victim with a gunshot wound, and had them transported to a hospital, where they were later pronounced dead.
