
A late-night stabbing in northwest Charlotte left one person with life-threatening injuries yesterday, after MEDIC crews rushed the victim from the 200 block of Hoskins Mill Lane to a nearby hospital just before 11 p.m. Investigators are still trying to sort out what happened, and officials have released only limited information so far.
What officials say
According to WSOC, MEDIC reported that the victim "was taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries." WSOC also noted that, at the time of its report, first responders and police had not shared any additional details about the circumstances of the attack.
History on Hoskins Mill Lane
The 200 block of Hoskins Mill Lane has already been on the radar for serious violence in recent months. Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department investigated a fatal shooting there in August 2025 that led to an arrest, according to a newsroom release from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.

Residents and reporters have pointed to a string of high-profile stabbings across northwest Charlotte in recent weeks, including a Valentine’s Day attack that left a person clinging to life. Those incidents have kept safety concerns front and center for many locals, even as broader crime numbers present a mixed picture.

Investigators had not announced any arrests and are encouraging anyone with video, photos or eyewitness accounts to reach out to detectives.
