The Tuesday morning commute on Interstate 74 took a frightening turn when a vehicle was shot near the Colerain Avenue exit, prompting a police search for the shooter and briefly shutting down a key ramp.
Cincinnati police were called to the scene around 7:30 a.m. and found a vehicle with visible bullet holes. No one inside was hurt, but investigators closed the US-27 to I-74 eastbound ramp for a time while they combed the area for evidence.
Sgt. Anthony Mitchell told FOX19 that officers are searching for a black Honda Accord in connection with the shooting. Police have not released any description of the suspect or a possible motive, and officers stayed on scene as evidence was processed.

The I-74 incident is the latest in a string of violence on Cincinnati highways. On Feb. 17, a juvenile was shot on I-75 near the Harrison Avenue exit in what investigators described as a car-to-car shooting, according to WLWT.

The investigation into Tuesday morning's I-74 shooting remains active, and police have not released any additional information about a suspect, FOX19 reported. Authorities have not announced any arrests, and detectives were still processing the scene Tuesday morning.
