
A Wednesday night crash in northeast Oklahoma City turned deadly when a car smashed into a house and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police. Emergency responders checked the people inside the home, and authorities said none of the occupants were injured, as reported by News 9.
Officers were called to the area near NE 25th Street, where the Oklahoma City Police Department's fatality squad processed the wreck and confirmed the driver's death, according to News 9. Investigators stayed at the scene into the night, gathering evidence and speaking with witnesses.
House Occupants Unhurt; Neighbors Shaken
Fire crews worked to secure the damaged home while officers went inside to check for hazards and make sure everyone was safe before clearing the occupants. Neighbors said the sudden rush of police and fire vehicles jolted the block, but that first responders moved quickly to secure the area.
