Andreane, a Kyoto-inspired matcha and wellness café, is set to take over Suite A in the old Cabo Cantina space, with owner Love Andreane aiming for a soft opening in spring 2026 as the buildout wraps up. The reserve-style concept will expand the founder’s 12 Hrs Matcha Cafe, serving ceremonial-grade matcha, specialty lattes, coffee, baked goods and Blue Zones-inspired small plates.
According to What Now San Diego, the founder is planning a calm, community-focused spot that leans into Kyoto rituals and intentional design, with a phased rollout as construction progresses. The outlet reports that Love Andreane described the project as “deeply personal” and outlined a reserve-style seating model for the new café.
From Late-Night Shots To Midday Sips
The Garnet Avenue address has been a Pacific Beach staple for years. Cabo Cantina opened at the location in 2006 and finally closed its doors in February 2025, SanDiegoVille reported. The changeover is yet another sign of Garnet’s ongoing shift as daytime cafés and wellness-minded hangouts move into spaces once dominated by nightlife.

Legal notices published in The Star News show 12 Hrs Matcha Cafe listed at 212 Broadway Unit 1 in Chula Vista, with the filing recorded in March 2025.
