Plymouth police arrested a man on Tuesday after he allegedly held his estranged wife at knifepoint inside her Clark Road home, capping a tense standoff that ended with the woman safely freed and no reported physical injuries. According to WCVB, the woman called 911 to report that her estranged husband had broken into her Clark Road residence. Body camera video released by the Plymouth Police Department shows the man barricaded inside while holding a large butcher knife to the victim's neck.

Police at the scene set up a containment perimeter, moved family members out of harm’s way and then focused on crisis negotiation, talking with the suspect for more than 45 minutes. After he released the woman, officers arrested him on site and cleared the home, with no immediate injuries reported.
