An early Saturday drop-off in Hollygrove turned bloody when a driver was stabbed multiple times after stepping in to help a friend, New Orleans police said. The victim had pulled up in the 8800 block of Olive Street to drop off a friend when a woman allegedly began attacking that friend. When the driver intervened, the woman reportedly stabbed the driver several times. The victim was taken by car to a hospital, and authorities have not released the person’s condition, as per WGNO.
According to WGNO, which covered the New Orleans Police Department’s initial response, detectives began collecting evidence and interviewing witnesses at the scene in an effort to identify a suspect and determine a motive.
