A Boston police SWAT team swarmed a Roslindale home Thursday evening after a caller reported someone with a gun inside, leading officers to treat the address as a possible barricade situation.
Police converged on a Bradwood Street residence around 6:51 p.m., surrounding the home and locking down the immediate area. Video from the scene shows at least one person being carried out on a stretcher. As of Thursday night, police said no arrests had been made and were keeping a tight lid on further details.
How The Standoff Unfolded
Boston police told 7NEWS they were responding to a report of an armed individual inside the Bradwood Street home and that officers were operating under the assumption that a person might be barricaded inside.
Live footage from the scene, aired by 7NEWS, showed first responders moving someone from the property on a stretcher. The station reported that no additional information was immediately available as the situation unfolded.

Roslindale has not been a stranger to major police activity in recent years. The neighborhood was the target of a swatting incident at Mayor Michelle Wu's home on Dec. 26, 2023, which drew a significant police response, according to WBUR.
Citywide, SWAT teams are periodically called in to resolve barricade situations. In one recent case, officers surrounded a Dorchester home during a July 2024 standoff that ended when suspects surrendered, as reported by Boston.com.
