Ogden City Fire Department crews remained on scene Wednesday afternoon after an active structure fire forced a temporary closure of part of 17th Street in west Ogden. Ogden Police said officers were directing traffic near the intersection of 1200 West and Center Avenue and urged drivers to use alternate routes. The closure halted through traffic between 1200 West and Center Avenue while firefighters worked to secure the scene.
According to a post by Ogden Police UT, Ogden City Fire Department crews were responding to an active structure fire and advised the public to avoid the area until further notice. The advisory noted that officers would manage traffic at the scene while firefighters worked.
