The Tunica County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help tracking down a vehicle investigators say was used in a shooting in the White Oak area on March 12. Deputies say the car had been reported stolen out of Tunica County, and investigators are trying to identify the people seen driving it in newly released images. Crime Stoppers tips can be submitted anonymously, and the office notes that information leading to an arrest may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
The images and a brief plea for help were posted to the sheriff’s Facebook page on March 13. The post includes multiple photos of the vehicle and asks anyone who recognizes the car or its occupants to contact investigators, according to the Tunica County Sheriff's Office.
How to Submit Tips
Anyone with information is asked to call the Tunica County Sheriff's Office at (662) 363-1411 or submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers at (662) 910-0400, as listed on the department's website. Officials say tips that directly result in an arrest may qualify for the reward described in the sheriff's post.
Investigation So Far
The public appeal comes amid a series of shootings the sheriff's office has been investigating this month, including arrests and charges related to drive-by shootings and attempted murder. In its online statement, the department wrote, "This investigation is active and ongoing," and pointed residents to an earlier update on its website that details recent arrests and case activity, according to the Tunica County Sheriff's Office.
Investigators are asking anyone with video, photos, or eyewitness information not to approach suspected individuals, but instead to call the tipline and let law enforcement handle any contact. To share information, call the Tunica County Sheriff's Office at (662) 363-1411 or Crime Stoppers at (662) 910-0400.
