Shoppers at the Target on Garth Brooks Boulevard in Yukon had their routine Saturday evening run upended when a woman reported that someone had touched the back of her leg while she shopped. She turned to find a man standing next to her, alerted store staff, and employees notified loss-prevention before police arrived. Yukon authorities have opened an investigation and say the suspect remains at large.
Police describe what happened
According to KOCO, the Yukon Police Department was called to the Target at about 5:30 p.m. Saturday after a "peeping tom" report. The police report says the victim "felt something touch the back of her leg," turned and observed "a dark-skinned male" standing beside her; part of the report was redacted. KOCO also reports that store employees alerted a loss-prevention officer and that witnesses saw the suspect leave the property and get into a black SUV before driving off. Investigators told KOCO they are working to obtain an image of the suspect.
How to report tips
Yukon police are asking anyone who was at the Target that evening or who has phone or dash-cam footage to contact the department's non-emergency line at 405-354-2553; call 911 for emergencies. The department's contact information and address are listed on the Yukon Police Department's website, which investigators say is the best way to confirm reporting details.
Local context
The report is a reminder that voyeurism complaints in the metro area have led to criminal charges in the past; Yukon Progress reported in 2025 that authorities charged a local school official with offenses related to peeping tom activity after investigators said they found clandestine recordings. Investigators say anyone with information about the Target incident should contact Yukon police so they can follow up on tips.
