A late-night drive on Gessner Road turned tragic early Saturday when a passenger was killed in a two-vehicle crash in west Houston, according to police. The collision, which happened just after 2 a.m. at 3999 Gessner Road near Centrepark Drive, shut down part of the roadway for hours while crews worked the scene. The front-seat passenger was rushed to a hospital and later pronounced dead.

Witnesses told investigators the wreck unfolded around 2:20 a.m. when a Honda Accord attempting to turn onto Centrepark Drive collided with a southbound white Ford Taurus in the intersection. Police said the Accord was occupied by two young adult women, while the Ford Taurus carried one adult man.
No charges had been filed by Saturday morning, and the case remains under investigation by the Houston Police Department, as reported by Click2Houston.
