Blu Jam Cafe is bringing its brunch game to North Hollywood, with the Los Angeles staple planning its first franchised outpost on Magnolia Boulevard this summer. The roughly 2,200-square-foot cafe is slated for a June or July debut and will feature a large dine-in area with wood accents plus a small patio.
Operator Eyes Summer Opening
According to What Now Los Angeles, multi-brand franchise operator Arman Boghosian is targeting a June or July opening at 11049 Magnolia Blvd, Suite 400. Boghosian told the outlet the area is "really missing a Blu Jam Cafe" and that he plans to roll out three to five additional locations with the brand.
Local Roots And A Menu People Recognize
Blu Jam has been in the Los Angeles dining mix since 2006 and currently runs six company-owned spots across the city, stretching from Melrose to Atwater Village, according to Blu Jam Cafe. The menu, best known for its signature Crunchy French Toast and lemon crepes, also leans on California-style omelets, avocado toast, coffee, and mimosas, per Blu Jam Cafe.
Design, Size, And A Dog Menu
The North Hollywood restaurant is set to span about 2,200 square feet and blend modern and rustic design touches, with beige and green tones, wood accents, and lots of plants, plus a small patio for outdoor seating. What Now Los Angeles also reports that the location will include a menu for dogs.
What's Next
Boghosian has said he is pursuing franchise partners beyond Los Angeles, including San Diego and Orange County, and expects the North Hollywood cafe to become the brand's first franchised location in the region. If the current timeline holds, the shop should be open by mid-summer and will join Blu Jam's existing footprint across the city.
