A burst of gunfire tore into a west Atlanta house Thursday afternoon, leaving a man inside with only a graze wound and a very close call, according to police.
Officers were called around 5:10 p.m. to a home on Sandy Creek Drive NW in the Carroll Heights neighborhood, where they found a 34-year-old man who had been grazed by a bullet. Responding paramedics treated him at the scene and released him.
Police: Shots Came From Outside
According to Atlanta News First, Atlanta police said their preliminary investigation indicates multiple suspects fired into the residence from outside. No arrests have been announced, and investigators say the probe remains active.
Another House Shot At This Month
Earlier this month, Channel 2 Action News reported that a group opened fire on a home on Fair Street on March 11, leaving dozens of evidence markers scattered across the scene and prompting a gang unit investigation, neighbors told WSB-TV. No one was seriously hurt in that case, but residents said gunfire at occupied homes has become a recurring worry on some west Atlanta blocks.
