
A pre-dawn stabbing at a Catharine Street rooming house left one man dead and another in handcuffs early Thursday, according to Worcester police. Officers rushed to the building, found a man suffering from stab wounds, and got him to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. What Happened
Officers were called to the Catharine Street rooming house at about 4:11 a.m. for a reported stabbing and discovered the victim inside, according to Boston 25 News. The man was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Police located another man inside the residence, arrested him at the scene, and detectives began processing the building for evidence.
Police: 'Isolated Incident'
Worcester police told Boston 25 News they believe the attack "is an isolated incident and there is no danger to the public," and said detectives are continuing to investigate what led up to the stabbing. Authorities have not yet released the names of either the victim or the man taken into custody.
