Chick-fil-A quietly landed a second location at Boston Logan International Airport on Thursday, this time in Terminal E. The new stand joins the chain's Terminal A spot that debuted last October and is targeted at the stream of international travelers moving through Logan. Airport and company officials say the Terminal E restaurant will run as a licensed location and is expected to bring roughly 60 new jobs to the airport.
"We are proud to bring Chick-fil-A’s food and signature hospitality to Terminal E, serving international travelers," a Chick-fil-A spokesperson said, according to Boston 25 News. The outlet reports that the Terminal E spot opened on Thursday, will operate as a licensed location, and will join the chain’s growing footprint across the Boston metro area.
On Chick-fil-A’s official location page, the Terminal E restaurant is listed as a "Licensed restaurant" operated by MBC Concessions, Inc., along with terminal details and operating hours. The listing confirms the restaurant sits inside Logan’s Terminal E and keeps the chain’s standard Monday through Saturday schedule, with the doors closed on Sundays, per Chick-fil-A.
Terminal A's early run explains the second location
The Terminal E arrival follows Chick-fil-A’s Terminal A debut last October, which did not exactly suffer from lack of interest. The Boston Globe reported that the Terminal A outlet has been serving about 1,800 passengers per day and has moved roughly 97,439 sandwiches since it opened. Local officials pointed to those numbers as proof that travelers are more than happy to grab a familiar quick-service meal before boarding.
What travelers can expect
Terminal E serves as Logan’s primary international terminal, which puts the new Chick-fil-A right in the path of long-haul and connecting travelers, according to Massport. For passengers hustling to make a flight or coming off a red-eye, the added outpost means another recognizable grab-and-go option on the terminal side of security, including before and after customs and immigration.
The opening also fits into a larger push by Chick-fil-A across Massachusetts and the broader Boston area. Boston.com and other local outlets have tracked the chain’s Logan debut and additional statewide openings. For now, travelers passing through the airport will find Chick-fil-A in both Terminal A and Terminal E, giving Logan’s dining lineup one more crowd-pleasing name on the board.
