Copart has quietly bulked up its Atlanta footprint, scooping up a large single-story warehouse on the Fulton Industrial corridor to stage and store motorcycles, boats and other powersports ahead of dealer auctions. The deal gives the company a sizable, company-owned logistics hub in a stretch of the city long dominated by heavy industrial users and vehicle operations.
According to CoStar, Copart acquired 6077 Fulton Industrial Blvd SW from Longpoint Realty Partners and intends to use part of the site to host auctions for motorcycles and other vehicles. CoStar’s reporting frames the sale as part of Copart’s broader push to grow its powersports and vehicle-auction presence in the Atlanta market.
Property details
The warehouse is listed on LoopNet as a 228,705-square-foot building on roughly 28.86 acres, featuring 24 dock-high doors, a 22-foot clear height and an extended truck court. Public listing records cite a 1974 construction date and identify the parcel as ID 14F-0133-LL-011-3, details that highlight the site’s suitability for large-scale vehicle staging and circulation.
Plans for powersport auctions
National Powersport Auctions, which Copart acquired in 2017, already lists Atlanta as one of its company-owned, staffed facilities and shows an Atlanta live auction scheduled for April 3 on its calendar. Copart announced the NPA acquisition in a company press release, and folding 6077 Fulton Industrial into the mix would give NPA additional company-controlled space for staging and auctioning inventory in the Atlanta area, based on the reporting and company information.
Why it matters for Fulton Industrial
The transaction arrives as both investors and occupiers continue to chase big industrial sites in the Fulton Industrial submarket, where conversions and large-lot logistics plays remain active. Recent deals, including Amazon’s nearly $130 million purchase of a Chattahoochee-area logistics property, highlight how demand for large warehouse facilities built for logistics and staging is holding steady, per Bisnow.
In the coming weeks, watch for permit filings, fresh signage and tweaks to NPA’s Atlanta auction workflows as Copart folds the site into its operations. If more inventory gets staged locally, dealers and logistics watchers should expect a more visible powersports presence along the Fulton Industrial strip.
