A Cudahy High School staff member was arrested Thursday, the School District of Cudahy confirmed. District officials said the employee is not currently working in any school building and that they are cooperating with law enforcement as the investigation moves forward.
According to TMJ4, the district said in a media statement, "We take this matter very seriously and are cooperating fully with law enforcement as they conduct their investigation." The outlet also reported that no details about the nature of the arrest have been released.
Background: District Still Dealing With Earlier Staff Arrest
While officials have not disclosed specifics about Thursday’s arrest, the district is already navigating a separate high-profile personnel case. In December 2025, another Cudahy High School staff member, Demetrian Carr, was charged with two counts of second-degree sexual assault of a child, per charged with sexual assault of a student.
Local reporting at the time said police allege Carr contacted a 15-year-old via Snapchat in 2023 and met the girl off campus on two occasions, and that the employee was placed on administrative leave. Authorities asked anyone with information to contact the Cudahy Police Department, CBS58 reported.
No charges, identity information or further details about Thursday’s arrest have been released publicly. Court filings or a formal police statement are expected to be the next official sources of information. This story will be updated as officials release more details.
