A quiet early Sunday morning on San Antonio's West Side turned deadly when a 24-year-old man was found shot to death, police said. Officers were called just before 4:35 a.m. to the area of South Trinity Street and Guadalupe Street, where they encountered multiple people at the scene. A second person, discovered later on Zarzamora Street with gunshot wounds to both himself and his car, was taken to a hospital.
According to Fox San Antonio, the San Antonio Police Department said detectives were still trying to piece together how the shooting unfolded, and no arrests had been announced. The outlet reported that officers found the 24-year-old at the scene with apparent gunshot wounds.
West Side Has Seen Multiple Shootings Recently
This latest episode adds to a string of overnight and late-night shootings in the neighborhood that have rattled residents. Earlier this month, a late-night shooting on El Paso Street was documented, and KSAT reported a February incident that left a man hospitalized after shots were fired outside an apartment complex.

Police have not released any suspect descriptions or a possible motive and said the investigation remains active, Fox San Antonio reported. Detectives are continuing to interview witnesses and process evidence from the scene, and officials said they plan to provide updates as more information becomes available.
