Officers arrived shortly after 8:20 p.m., and medics later pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Authorities have not released the victim's name, and the circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under investigation.
According to FOX 5 Atlanta, the Sandy Springs Police Department said in a news release that officers found a person who had been shot at the Hudson Northridge apartments. Atlanta News First reported that officers were dispatched to 550 Northridge Parkway and that police have not identified a suspect or a motive.
