
Raleigh police are investigating a shooting that broke out Saturday on Walnut View Road in southeast Raleigh, pulling officers back to a corridor that has already seen its share of gunfire this year.
Officers were called to the area near Rock Quarry Road and Cross Link Road, and investigators stayed on scene into the evening, working under flashing blue lights. Authorities have not released any suspect descriptions or a confirmed count of victims.
According to WRAL, the shooting happened Saturday and the department says the investigation is ongoing. The outlet reported it had reached out to Raleigh police to find out who was involved and the extent of any injuries.
