
Two men were shot late Saturday night near Twin Cookz Barbecue on Fairington Road in unincorporated DeKalb County, according to police. Both victims were found with gunshot wounds and taken to a hospital for treatment. The DeKalb County Police Department has launched an active investigation into what happened.

Officers were called to the area at about 10:33 p.m. A Channel 2 Action News photographer at the scene reported shattered windows at the Twin Cookz restaurant, adding a grim visual to an already tense night. As reported by WSB‑TV, investigators said their preliminary work suggests the two men did not know each other and were shot by someone else.
