Gunfire disrupted a southeast Oklahoma City intersection Monday night when a person was shot in the head, according to police.
The shooting happened near South High Avenue and Southeast 15th Street. As of late Monday, officials had not released the victim's name or any update on their condition.
Officers with the Oklahoma City Police Department responded to the scene and confirmed that a person had been shot in the head, but they did not share what might have led up to the violence, according to KOCO. In a 10:35 p.m. update, the station reported that police had not said whether anyone was in custody while detectives worked the case. Crime-scene tape blocked off the intersection as a noticeable law enforcement presence remained in the area.
