
A 55-year-old man was killed Saturday morning when a high-speed, multi-vehicle collision slammed into the intersection of Antonio Street and Wildcat Drive in Anthony, Texas. Officers with the Anthony Police Department responded around 9:30 a.m. and found several vehicles involved, and the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The intersection stayed closed for several hours while officers marked evidence, cleared wreckage and directed drivers onto alternate routes.
According to KVIA, Anthony police turned the scene over to the El Paso County Sheriff's Office Special Traffic Investigators for a deeper probe into how the crash unfolded. Investigators told KVIA that speed is being examined as a possible contributing factor, while alcohol is not currently believed to have played a role. Authorities said they plan to share more information as the investigation moves forward.
