
A quiet stretch of Boston's Hyde Park neighborhood turned into a crime scene Monday morning after two people were stabbed on Readville Street near 135 Readville Street, drawing a heavy police and EMS response as residents looked on from the sidewalks.
Both victims were taken by EMS to a local hospital, and their conditions were not immediately available, according to Boston 25 News. Police said the initial 911 call came in Monday morning and officers arrived to find evidence of a stabbing at the scene. The department is treating the case as an active investigation.
Suspect Arrested Near Car Wash
Officers spotted a man walking away from the area and later located a possible suspect at a nearby car wash, where he was taken into custody, according to authorities. It was not immediately clear whether any formal charges had been filed, and police have not released the man’s name or other identifying information.
Investigation Underway
Boston police said the stabbing remains under investigation, with detectives canvassing the neighborhood for witnesses and any available video, as reported by Boston 25 News. Officials have not shared additional details with the public.
