A late-night commute turned deadly near the Franklin Ave–Medgar Evers College station in Crown Heights just after midnight Wednesday, when a man in his 50s was fatally struck by a northbound 2 train, according to police. EMS workers pronounced him dead at the scene, and authorities said they do not suspect foul play. The victim’s name has not yet been released.
Police told News 12 New York the man was hit minutes after midnight, and emergency responders were on scene shortly afterward.
