Three people were killed late Wednesday night in a three-vehicle crash on the Grand Parkway near County Road 603 in the Dayton area, according to authorities. Emergency crews arrived to find three occupants trapped in the wreckage, and all three were later pronounced dead at the scene. The tollway was shut down while first responders and investigators worked, then reopened early Thursday morning following a lengthy on-site investigation.

According to a Facebook post by the Dayton Volunteer Fire Department, crews were dispatched to the crash at about 9 p.m. Wednesday and found a three-vehicle collision with three people trapped inside. The department shared photos from the scene and urged drivers to steer clear of the area while emergency personnel handled the wreck.
Roadway Closure And Cleanup
FOX 26 Houston reported that a Liberty County emergency crew also responded and that the tollway remained closed for more than five hours while investigators documented the crash. The roadway has since been cleared. Officials have not released the victims' names or any probable cause for the collision.
Grand Parkway Safety
The Grand Parkway has been the backdrop for several serious crashes in recent months.
