Saturday, April 25, 2026 opened on the gray and chilly side in Milwaukee, with the airport near 43°F and a light northeast breeze. Skies are expected to clear through the morning, leading to mostly sunny conditions by afternoon and a high near 54°F inland, with low to mid 50s along the lakeshore. Another cool night follows, with lows around 42°F and northeast winds holding in the 5–15 mph range.
Afternoon Sunshine And Breezy Winds
High pressure is set to keep the weekend dry and comfortable, even if onshore winds leave lakeside neighborhoods a few degrees cooler than spots farther inland. Gusts could reach up to 15 mph this afternoon. Any patchy fog that clung to the lakefront around daybreak should quickly mix out after sunrise, leaving a crisp, bright afternoon that is friendly to errands or a casual lap along the lakefront.
Monday Storms Likely
A low pressure system is forecast to track into the Upper Mississippi Valley on Monday, April 27, 2026, bringing rain showers during the day and a better chance for showers and thunderstorms Monday evening into Monday night. Forecasters are calling for a high near 62°F with southeast winds of 10–15 mph, gusting up to 30 mph, and new rainfall amounts between three quarters and one inch possible Monday night, according to the National Weather Service Milwaukee.
Plan Ahead
If you have outdoor plans on Monday, it is worth shifting them earlier or indoors, as the wettest period currently looks to be from Monday evening into the overnight hours. Heavier downpours and gusty winds could cut visibility and slow commutes. This comes on the heels of mid April rounds of heavy rain that produced localized flooding in some neighborhoods; see our coverage of the midweek soaker for flood prone areas to keep an eye on.
Lakeshore And Boaters
Onshore flow will keep the immediate lakeshore cooler than inland areas through the weekend, and the relatively cold lake should help prevent more sustained gale development on Monday even as low level winds strengthen. Recreational boaters should secure small craft and stay on top of forecasts Monday evening in case thunderstorms and brief heavy downpours move through.
