
Human remains were discovered Tuesday morning near the intersection of Oreto Drive and Ridge Road in New Port Richey, turning a quiet neighborhood into an active investigation scene as deputies quickly roped off the area. Detectives and crime-scene technicians moved in to collect evidence while authorities stayed tight-lipped about who the person might be or how they died.
According to WTSP, the Pasco County Sheriff's Office confirmed that deputies stayed on scene and told the outlet there is "no threat to the public" as investigators work the case. Officials have not said when they expect to make an identification.
